ELC CertificationResettlement or Enhanced Learning Credits

Using your resettlement or ELCAS allowances to receive IT training is a wise move. There are many opportunities for ex-Forces personnel in the IT industry. The IT industry is huge with IT trained staff needed in thousands of companies all across the UK and abroad and not only in the big IT manufactures, vendors and resellers but also in every other significant business in all sectors; they all need IT people.

Get a Job in IT

Your service career background, a good attitude and Security Clearance, if you have it, will put you in a good position for securing a great IT job. That only leaves IT skills, knowledge and experience and Deverill are here to build those or develop the skills you already have.

It makes sense to think about your resettlement early and find out what career opportunities are out there. If you have already decided to pursue an IT career when you leave the Forces, you can now start focusing on what you need to do to make a successful transition. Training at Deverill will give you the skills that employers want.

Your Entitlement

Armed Forces personnel are entitled to advice and training to assist resettlement. Deverill are an IT training provider that can provide approved career training to assist services personnel to build skills that will allow them to successfully transition into a new career within IT.

Career Transition Partnership

For further information on the Career Transition Partnership please visit http://www.ctp.org.uk.

The MoD's Enhanced Learning Credits Scheme (ELC) is an initiative to promote lifelong learning amongst members of the Armed Forces. The ELC scheme provides financial support in the form of a single up-front payment in each of a maximum of three separate financial years.

Deverill is an Approved Learning Provider under the ELCAS Scheme.

All members of the MoD are eligible for career transition or resettlement path course structures. By working closely with your resettlement office, ELCAS ensures your career transition is handled smoothly and in line with all your requirements.

Resettlement and Enhanced Learning Credits

The Enhanced Learning Credits Scheme (ELC) is an educational initiative to compliment the Standard Learning Credits Scheme (SLC). The Scheme provides financial support to eligible Service personnel who wish to enhance their educational or vocational achievements at Level 3 or above.

Two Tiers

ELCs are available in two tiers: The Lower Tier has a level of up to £1,000 per annum and the Upper Tier a level of up to £2,000 per annum. These amounts may be claimed as a single payment in each of a maximum of three separate financial years. The Scheme is based upon the principle that individuals will make a personal contribution toward the cost of their learning. The ELC contribution may be up to 80% of the gross course value. Applicants will also be responsible for payment for food, accommodation, travel and subsistence.

The Enhanced Learning Credits Administration Service (ELCAS) website can be found at http://www.enhancedlearningcredits.com.
