Deverill helps Bridgwater College gets savvy

Deverill also provided the college with ‘thin client’ terminals to extend the benefits of the virtualised server environment to the user desktops. The thin client terminals replaced traditional desktop computers and can be managed more effectively and efficiently by the in house IT Team, again making a significant reduction in acquisition, operation and management costs.
The Head of IT Services, David Foster at Bridgwater College said: “We have been very impressed with the level of service which Deverill provides. The team worked quickly and efficiently, and passed a great deal of knowledge over to our own IT team. We are looking forward to working with Deverill again in the future for further deployments and developments and Deverill are now a preferred IT Partner for the College.”
Joel Jervis, Chief Executive Officer, Deverill said: “People need to be savvy in this current climate, and Bridgwater College has made a smart choice by choosing to look at its IT systems to ensure they get the most out of them. The way students now use computers is changing so there is a greater need to meet new advances in IT. The college has made a long term investment by implementing virtualisation and thin client software, which will ensure it benefits from greener, faster and cheaper IT long into the future.”
