Deverill delivers cost effective IT solutions to Sherborne Girls

Dorset-based IT, solutions and IT training provider, Deverill, has supported one of the top academic schools in the country, Sherborne Girls, through its remote managed and support services to help reduce the school’s IT costs and to enable it to deliver additional services to the pupils and staff.

It is a priority of Sherborne Girls to devote the majority of its financial resources to the well being and education of its pupils. Therefore, when the need for additional IT services was identified, rather than employ another member of staff with all the overheads associated with this, the school invited Deverill to discuss alternative cost effective solutions.

After an initial meeting, it was recognised that the school would need the following:

• Transfer of IT knowledge and skills to the existing IT team at the school
• Work in close partnership with the school to develop an IT strategy that would help contain its IT costs
• Release the current IT team from some of their daily management tasks, allowing them the freedom to work on delivering new services
• To deliver increased system reliability, availability and efficiency

Deverill now works as a part of the schools extended virtual IT team.
