Deverill becomes approved learning provider for the MOD
South coast-based IT, solutions and training provider, Deverill, has become an approved learning provider under the Ministry of Defence (MOD), Enhanced Learning Credits Scheme (ELCAS). Deverill can now provide approved career training to assist MOD leaver personnel build skills, which will allow them to move into a career within the IT sector.
Deverill has been providing training to the MOD for a number of years, but was not an approved learning provider so could not provide training to MOD leavers with MOD re-training funds. In response to requests from members of the forces who wished to train specifically with Deverill, Deverill applied for approval.
All MOD representatives are eligible for career transition schemes. The MOD’s ELCAS initiative exists to promote lifelong learning amongst members of the armed forces, and personnel can use their ELC credits however they wish. There are many opportunities available to personnel within the IT sector.
As well as creating training packages to meet trainees’ specific needs, Deverill can provide the following packages to the MOD:
- Database administrator
- Enterprise messaging administrator
- ITIL service manager
- Microsoft Desktop support technician
- Prince2 project manager
- Server administrator
- Web designer

Deverill is also a preferred supplier for the Career Transition Partnership (CTP). The CTP brings together the MOD and Right Management, global career development and outplacement specialists, to provide resettlement support.
